Overview SVIT activities and development in 2003

The next stage in the life story of SVIT is remarkable for many developments. Is it a prodigy?

In 2003, we have organized three workcamps. One of them, "Towards Ecotopia", was to support a big international gathering of activists from all over Europe. And to complete the mix, "Meotida" and "Nadiya" workcamps added traditional ecological and social flair to our work. We continue cooperation with our local partners and increase the network of our contacts locally, involve new activists and enter new yet unexplored areas.

Our learning program, included training on conflict resolution, organized by SCI-Italy; and project management training of GATE. In October 2003, three representatives of SVIT attended Annual Meeting of GATE, where SVIT became a partner of GATE and SCI. A new period in our history has started with this partnership. Our first project with involvement of a long-term volunteer was developed; in cooperation with AVI Moldova we started working on Summer School East - a possibility for activists of voluntary service organizations to improve their skills and to develop themselves as leaders for international and intercultural groups.
